It's not supposed to be a parody, but I think it would be hard to call it a serious movie. If you know what made-for-TV movies were like 20 years ago or so, that's probably what Titanic 2 is going to be like.

It's not remake of the any Titanic movies or James cameron's 1997 Titanic movie,The movie is all about this....

It's a modern ship that is a replica of the real Titanic,for the traveling on the april 12th 2012,100 years after the Titanic sinking,annversary cruise.
The ship is on her way too new-york (on the same route as the real Titanic took) however,a title wave created enough force to push an iceberg right into the ship route.
The crew some how have to avoid the same fate which occurred too the original Titanic 100 years before.

The premise is actually pretty clever, in my opinion. The only question is how they're going to say that the ship actually managed to (a) hit an iceberg with the numerous obstacle avoidance systems in place nowadays, and (b) how it wouldn't have enough lifeboats.

If they're able to patch together credible explanations for those things, this might actually be okay, I think.

And here's a philosophical question: What's more exploitative, 'Titanic 2' or the mainstream media's incessant live-coverage of each and every cruise ship that had mechanical problem (like, a broken refrigerator) from 1997 to about 1999? I definitely think it's the latter, because at least 'Titanic 2' is clear that it's just silly fun.
